Apple Business Manager, declarative device management, managed Apple Accounts, supervision, activation lock and the annual OS cycle all behave differently to the Windows estate — and organisations that treat them the same end up with a fleet nobody can fully account for.
As an Apple Premium Technical Partner, CDTS provides consultative guidance and technical services for customers with complex environments. As an Apple Authorised Reseller, we are one of very few small-to-medium businesses able to deliver Carrier DEP, which lets us bring carrier-supplied devices into Apple Business Manager for zero-touch enrolment — including retrospectively.
That combination means we can own the whole path: buy the device, get it into ABM, enrol it into your MDM, secure it, and support it for the rest of its life.

Common questions
What is Carrier DEP, and why does it matter?
Zero-touch enrolment only works if a device is registered in Apple Business Manager. Devices bought on a carrier plan normally are not. Carrier DEP lets an authorised party register carrier-supplied iPhones into your ABM instance, so they enrol supervised on first boot. Very few Australian resellers can deliver it — CDTS is one.
Can you bring iPhones we already own into Apple Business Manager?
Usually yes, retrospectively, even for devices bought years ago on a carrier account. The device does need to be reset to pick up its new enrolment, but you are no longer choosing between a supervised fleet and an unmanaged one.
Jamf Pro or Microsoft Intune for our Macs?
Jamf goes deeper on Apple-specific management and tends to win where the Apple estate is large or complex. Intune wins where you are already invested in Microsoft management and the Apple estate is a minority. We run both in production and the recommendation follows your environment, not our margin.
What happens when Apple ships a new iOS or macOS version?
We test the release against your policy baseline before your users upgrade themselves, and hold or stage the rollout accordingly. The September release is predictable — the scramble around it is optional.
